What is it?
This week Greg Rogers, formerly with Outlook Business Solutions, and myself have the honor of presenting at the State of Montana Digital Accessibility Roundtable. We have been invited to speak on the topic of "Demystifying Digital Accessibility – Fundamentals and a Basic Roadmap".
The State of Montana Digital Accessibility Roundtable consists of IT professionals, web designers, instructional designers, trainers, HR professionals, ADA coordinators, etc. In other words, a great mix of individuals which should make this presentation a great experience for Greg and myself.
Presentation Overview
Some of the items our presentation will focus are:
- accessibility of digital content as a mean of "effective communication"
- a demonstration of how applying the WCAG guidelines can impact all users, not just users of assistive technology
- the structure of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG
- Accessibility Statements
- the important of manual accessibility testing
Greg and I are looking forward to meeting with the group in Montana and I am sure it will be the highlight of our week!
